If you met a Sufi, how would you recognize them?

They're all over the place! Most Sufi mystics do not proselytize. They dress like everyone else in their culture (no robes required!). They work and play and love the same as you. In fact, you probably wouldn't be able to recognize a Sufi mystic by how they act outwardly, but you might catch a feeling.

Sufis are lovers — of people, of life, of exploration, of the universe. There are as many unique expressions of this love as there are individuals on the path. One common thread is that they believe in an inner life and have confidence that even though we might not all agree on the particulars, our direct experience of that inner truth is what really matters.
